Ramrock Blue Records introduce a brand new collaborative force made in musical heaven that combines the talents of NuJazz artist, Maxine Scott and the enigmatic UK Beats creator, Alf.E. After hearing Alf.E’s short but perfectly formed beats, Ramrock boss, Jo Wallace looped them up and sent them to Maxine. Within 20 minutes, Maxine delivered the sun soaked ‘Ya Energy’, the follow up to her huge debut single ‘Erykah U Bad’. With Maxine’s effortless vocals vibing a full set of original lyrics with her additional production and instrumentation licks, the result is a distant heat shimmer over an azure sea, days spent poolside soaking up the sun under a faded parasol and the temperature nudging the mercury upwards….then, the North Street West crew (Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris and Jo Wallace) step up the BPM and inject the track with a sultry RnB mood ladened with brass riffs, flutes and flawless keyboards from Darren Morris.
